Liuyishou Hotpot Boston offers an authentic and immersive hot pot dining experience right in the heart of Boston’s Chinatown. Specializing in traditional Chinese hot pot, this vibrant restaurant invites diners to savor carefully curated, fresh ingredients paired with richly flavored broths that warm the soul and excite the palate.
The true star of Liuyishou Hotpot is its menu featuring standout dishes like the Spicy Beef and the decadently tender Australian Wagyu Beef Slices, which melt luxuriously in the bubbling, aromatic broth. Another distinctive highlight is their celebrated 九宫格 (Jiugongge) traditional hot pot platter, which presents a beautiful and satisfying variety of flavors in one elegant arrangement—a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds.
Complementing the rich flavors of the hot pot is the restaurant’s thoughtfully assembled Dipping Sauce bar, allowing guests to customize their sauces with an authentic array of ingredients. This personal touch elevates every bite, balancing the spicy and savory notes uniquely to each diner’s preference.
The ambiance at Liuyishou Hotpot Boston perfectly matches its culinary offerings: clean, comfortable, and welcoming—with a friendly and attentive staff that consistently earns praise for their prompt help refilling broths and replacing plates. Whether you choose the Combo for 2 or indulge in the extensive snack bar, you can expect a relaxed yet lively setting ideal for sharing meals with family or friends.
Guests repeatedly highlight the freshness and quality of ingredients—from the crunchy texture of beef tripe and pork aorta to the juicy shrimp paste—each selection shining brightly after a quick dip in the flavorful broth. The innovative option of a two-flavor soup base (often a house special and a tomato broth) caters to diverse tastes with balance and depth, though some advise the house special broth leans towards a bold palate.
Though some visitors travel from afar, like Mengshi Yuan who happily commutes an hour to enjoy the authentic taste, it’s clear that Liuyishou Hotpot Boston leaves a lasting impression worth every minute. Ideal for both newcomers and seasoned hot pot lovers alike, this restaurant captures the heart of traditional Chinese hot pot in a dynamic Boston setting.
For a memorable dining adventure featuring rich, bold flavors, quality ingredients, and an inviting atmosphere that feels like a home away from home, Liuyishou Hotpot Boston is a must-visit.

My favorite hot pot spot in Boston! The food is fresh and the sauce bar is also very authentic. Took me almost 1 hour to get there but it’s worthy! Wish I live closer or they open a chain in Quincy!
I had two-flavor soup base (house special/ tomato). House special soup is not for everyone. Overall, great food and service. Total: $85.48 (included tax) for 2 person
I had such a wonderful experience at Liu Yishou Hotpot! The ingredients were super fresh, especially the beef tripe and pork aorta – so crunchy and delicious after just a quick dip in the hotpot. The broth was authentic, flavorful, and not overly spicy. The staff were very friendly and attentive, always checking in to refill the soup or change plates. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, with a lively atmosphere that made dining with friends really enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back!
First time at Liuyishou Hot Pot and it was an amazing experience! The ingredients were fresh and plentiful — the beef slices and shrimp paste were especially delicious. We ordered the classic yin-yang pot, and both the spicy and non-spicy broths were flavorful and satisfying. The service was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to help with refilling soup and replacing plates. They also explained the sauce bar, which was a nice touch for first-timers. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere — perfect for gatherings with friends or family. Exceeded expectations. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend to any hot pot lovers!
Went for lunch with my family, we had the combo for 2 and the snack bar, which was more than enough for us. Although two snack bars were listed in the price of the combo($58,98), since there was 4 of us we had to pay for 2 extra(per 1 person $3,99). The duck soup was great but the tomato one didn’t really work with dipping the food, I recommend taking the plain one. The snack bar had great sesame chicken but the other meats were cold, it also included a few puddings and fruits such as oranges. Besides the food, you could order smoothies on the tablet each table received. The staff was nice and delivery of food fast, though the atmosphere wasn’t grand in any kind of way. I did enjoy it there as an experience but trying one time is more than enough.
My wife and I were in from out of town. My wife is Food was so good we went two nights out of the four we were in town. We arrived around 5 and were seated right away. It was packed by 6. First night we had individual pots and the second night we shared. The frog legs were very good! Don't forget to add the sauce and snack option.
